Eats Everything is back with the heavily-supported, highly-anticipated new single, ‘Upside Down’, out on Friday, November 22nd via Sony Music.

What started simply as an energetic club edit of Diana Ross’s 1980 disco classic has become a sought-after secret weapon for the biggest names in dance music, including Dom Dolla, Chris Lake and Groove Armada. Now, with its iconic sample officially cleared—thanks to the mighty Anton Powers (Head of A&R, Ministry of Sound)—this delicious slab of disco house has been blessed—and praised—by the original writers, Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, and will be released as an official single on Friday, putting a stop to the countless DMs and dodgy SoundCloud rips.

“I made this a long time ago as a bootleg, on a whim, on a plane,” says Eats Everything. “Played it. It booted off. Gave it to some DJ friends. They played it and said it booted off. Then, one day, I got a message from Sony to say they’d managed to clear the sample and quoted the man himself—my old mate Nile Rodgers—whose feedback was: ‘This is the one, this will be BIG!’ They asked if I still wanted to put it out. I said yes, and here we are—probably the most requested thing I’ve ever made.”

‘Upside Down’ follows Eats Everything’s uplifting piano-smothered August single, ‘Happy People’ featuring singer-songwriter Stevie Appleton, which was marked as the Hottest Record In The World by Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1. The Bristolian also teamed up with Chris Lorenzo and vocalist Lily McKenzie in March for the old-school rave and garage-inspired ‘Ghosts’.

To celebrate the release of the long-awaited ‘Upside Down’, top-tier DJ Eats will play at two of the UK’s most iconic venues, Manchester’s Warehouse Project on Friday, followed by a set at DRUMSHEDS in London on Saturday. He’ll also jet off to the US on the 29th and 30th for shows in Washington DC and San Francisco.

Eats Everything’s belting new single, ‘Upside Down’, is pure disco artillery. Backed by the legendary Nile Rodgers, it’s set to light up dance floors when it lands on Friday, November 22nd.
