‘No More’ is a no-nonsense drum machine workout. Très throws beloved Korg M1 stabs over a bouncing 4×4 house beat, and adds a rousing vocal sample and rolling snare. The formula sounds simple. The result? Dancefloor bedlam.

‘No More’ is a guaranteed party starter. It’s the most massive banger on the M1 City EP by a landslide.’ Tres Mortimer explains. ‘The tune starts with a medley of tasty percussion that leads into a ghost pepper M1 riff. I worked on it for about a year, trading notes back and forth with Seth. He wanted the bass riff to open up and get meaner throughout the track. This technique builds tension and energy on the dance floor as the track progresses. ‘No More’ is an easy add to the USB for a big night. It’s already racked up early support from the likes of Dom Dolla, Gorgon City, Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones and more.’

It’s the second single from ‘M1 City’, Très’s third album, set for release on 25th October via Seth Troxler’s label, Slacker 85. The first track revealed was ‘Secrets’ (Listen HERE) in September, a house jam inspired by house music icons like MK. It utilises heavy 909 drums, a rolling bassline, and intimately whispered vocal shots to form a highly danceable house groove.

Très Mortimer is a rising figure in Chicago’s house scene, known for his dancefloor-focused sound and influences from his Polish roots. He’s previously signed with major labels like Mad Decent, Insomniac’s IN/Rotation, and Ministry of Sound, while also founding his label, Optics Records. Mortimer gained attention with his rework of The Zombies’ classic ‘Time Of The Season’ (1M+ streams) and has released standout tracks like his downtempo collaboration ‘BAMBU’ and the single ‘At Night I Think Of You’, which was remixed by Seth Troxler and Nick Morgan.

Slacker 85, launched in 2023 by underground house hero Seth Troxler, is a new record label that aims to champion unconventional and diverse sounds, countering the polished mainstream dance scene. It gives a platform to “anti-heroes” in music, with releases from artists like Jackmaster, Danny Daze, and Andre Salmon, blending house music’s history with modern innovation.

Très Mortimer’s album ‘M1 City’ is shaping up to be a much-needed dose of raw house energy in an overly-polished dance music landscape. ‘No More’ is just a taster. Strap in for more madness from this highly talented Slacker protogé.
